Matt ventured to Prague, Czech Republic, on two separate occasions to participate in the AMEROPA Music Festival. He participated in chamber ensembles, performed in solo recitals, and performed around the country with the Czech Philharmonic. It was here that Matt fostered his discipline for the study of classical music. Under the direction of Vadim Mazo and Debra Schwartz, Matt practiced as much as 8 hours a day.
